This section describes how to use PCCE-JT to do the following actions:
Using the Gaim client, all you need to do in order to join a chat room
is click on the "Chat" button on the bottom of the main window, or
choose "Join chat.." from the "Buddies" menu, or use the keyboard
shortcut Ctrl-C.
You will be prompted for the name of the chat room and chat server. The name of this server should be "conference.localhost". You can enter whatever you want for the chat room, because a new one will be created for you if it does not exist. However, we use the room named "lobby" as a common meeting place. Below is an example of the dialog box for user 'dang' joining the lobby chat room:
Once you are in the chat room, you can invite other users to join you. In Gaim, use the "invite" button on the bottom of the page, then type in the full JID of the user you wish to invite - or select them from your buddy list. If they're around and want to join, they should be showing up soon!
