Show only messages which contain the provided text. The text is free-form, i.e. can contain spaces or quotes. Only the contents of the messages are matched, not the XML tags and other data in the Jabber protocol that carries them.
For example, you can enter "http://" into the input area to filter only messages that contain WWW URLs.
Enter the date range that you want to see in the chat, in the form YYYY-MM-DD. The range includes the start and end day. For example, to select the first week of 2005, use from=2005-01-01 and to=2005-01-07. Or, to select (St.) Valentine's day, you would use from=2005-02-14 and to=2005-02-14.
This input field lets you filter chats based on who was in the room. You provide a space-separated list of names (i.e. the chat room alias of the speaker), and only messages or presence events that occurred when that person or people were present in the chat room, will be shown.
Note that this is a superset of the information shown with the 'Action/message from' input field. If both 'in the room' and 'action/message' are used together, they should be distinct sets of people since by definition you must be in the room to send it a message or presence action.
For example, to see the messages from user jason when user dan was in the room, set 'in the room'=dan and 'action/message'=jason.
This input field lets you filter chats based on who is talking or doing things. You provide a space-separated list of names (i.e. the chat room alias of the speaker), and only messages or presence events originating from those people will be shown.
Note that this is a subset of the information shown with the In the room filter. They may be used together, as well, see notes for in the room for more explanation.
