Mary Thompson is a computer scientist currently working on the security aspects of the OSCARS bandwidth reservation system. Her current research interests are in enabling secure and authenticated communication and access to services between users and services operating in heterogeneous administrative domains. In the past she has been active in several Global Grid Forum working groups and helped develop authentication and authorization services for the Diesel Collaboratory and the Fusion Grid. She graduated with a BS in Physics from Stanford University and received a MS degree in EECS from UC Santa Barbara. She started working at :WLBNL in 1995, retired in 2007 and is currently a rehired-retiree.
